How I'm Effectively Managing My Kindergarten Class : End-of-the- Year Strategy

Hey there! :)

When it comes to classroom management, the most important thing is...( drum roll please) building strong relationships. This means having a great connection with your whole class, building individual relationships with each student, and encouraging positive relationships among students.

At the start of the school year and beyond, it's super important to make sure your students feel like they belong, so that these relationships can form in a genuine, healthy, and meaningful way.

Teachers, how are you managing behaviors in your classroom right now? It's a DESK PET SHOP, for me!

This classroom management strategy is the perfect addition to our already detailed exploration of each habitat throughout the year. Students earn "Dollar Bills", through good actions and kind words.

Insects were priced at $2 and as you can see, no one saved up beyond that, especially since they had to patiently save up $5 to purchase a habitat/pet home before they could purchase the desk pet. I'm going to miss my besties!

Kindergarten-1st grade teachers, if you're looking for a fun and effective way to manage your classroom for the rest of the year, try this! This method covers standards such as understanding currency, earning money, saving money, needs and wants, and more.

Here's a link to all the extra supplies I used to create this strategy:
